We start with dignity, respect and kindness. Elders are treated as people with a history and preferences, not as “case” or “patient” or “liability”. Each Amara Care Buddy and Care Attendant is trained to at least try and listen, understand and demonstrate basic empathy, not just “do tasks”.

Trained & Certified Caregivers

Amara is powered by Convex Healthcare, which partners with the Zamit–QAI, UK ecosystem who are Approved Training Partners of National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC). It is also an Industry Partner with the Home Management and Caregivers Sector Skill Council (HMCGSSC) that works under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Govt. of India. All Amara Care Attendants undergo and successfully complete the HMCGSSC approved training programme for non-clinical elderly care. That means that the Amara Caregiver:

  • is trained and assessed using structured curricula that is aligned to national and international standards such as the National Skills Qualifications Framework of India (NSQF) of India, the Regulated Qualifications Framework of England, Wales, and Northern Ireland (RQF), Common International Framework of Reference (CIFR) for Future Readiness and Skills and the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for languages.
  • has undergone the required domain-specific skilling programme
  • has undergone the required domain-specific English language training
This makes the Amara services more consistent, reliable and standardised.
